The Chamberlain

This residential development is the product of a multi-year effort with the City of Richfield to redevelop the Cedar Avenue Corridor south of 66th Street. This area was significantly impacted by the expansion of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Regional Airport and in 2015 Inland Development Partners (IDP) was awarded the contract to redevelop the 6.8-acre Cedar Avenue site. IDP was awarded a $1.36M “Livable Communities” grant from the Metropolitan Council and arranged a $8.49M TIF district with the City of Richfield. Through the acquisition and rehab of (3) existing structures on the site, the project supports an affordability component of 20% at 60% of the area median income.

The Chamberlain Apartments, Saturday Properties

Kraus-Anderson Development

Inland Development Partners and partner Kraus-Anderson Development landed backing from the Richfield City Council for the Chamberlain Apartments in the fall of 2015 after meeting with neighbors of the project and the city officials.

Critical to the success of the project has been the strong relationship between IDP, the city, and the community to achieve a mutually beneficial outcome.

The development team includes development and construction expertise from Kraus Anderson, UrbanWorks Design, Westwood Engineering, Dougherty, Fredrickson and Byron, and Saturday Properties Management.
