City of Wayzata

Inland Development Partners collaborated with Charles Schwab and Co. to expand their Wayzata branch location at 130 Lake St West in Wayzata. The expansion happened in two phases, and Schwab was able to continue operating their business during the expansion period.  This project is exciting for Schwab as they’ve been in this building since 2000. As they began to grow out of the space and required an updated design, IDP worked closely with the Schwab leadership team to develop an office space that would adequately support their growth and help prepare for future growth as they continue to serve the community. The office space is designed so that the Schwab team can meet with clients in a variety of settings.  There are several private office spaces, an open lobby area, a conference room, and a training room that serves as a space for education and workshops for clients.

This Schwab branch office is unique in its ability to offer workshops to clients, with state-of-the-art technology. “We pride ourselves in empowering people to learn more about investing. Providing education and resources to people is a hallmark of our culture,” says Vice President, Brian Wagenbach. “We are fortunate to expand and create this space, allowing us to positively impact the community for the long-term. We are hoping this expansion allows for two more decades.”

The building is located a few blocks west of Wayata’s downtown, offering a variety of restaurants and shops. The Schwab team is happy to be in the Wayzata community, which they describe as having “a vibe of generosity, kindness, and respect.” Next time you’re in Wayzata, stop by Schwab to see their newly renovated space and learn a thing or two about how to better invest your money!
