Inland Development Partners (IDP) is the culmination of the talents and track records of real estate professionals Kent Carlson, Tom Shaver and Steve Schwanke. With over 100 years of experience, successful developments mapped out in miles and a sheer enthusiasm for complex challenges, IDP transforms landscapes and communities through land development, site redevelopment and asset repositioning throughout the Twin Cities and the Upper Midwest. The IDP Team

Kent Carlson

Kent brings more than 45 years of senior-level management experience to Inland Development Partners. With his expertise, experience and strong real estate relationships, he understands the development process including site selection and acquisition, city permits and approvals, sales and leasing as well as financial package creation. Kent collaborates closely with cities in redeveloping underutilized or blighted sites.

Tom Shaver

Tom brings more than 40 years of experience and development expertise to clients and communities every day at Inland Development Partners. His wealth of knowledge managing real estate portfolios makes him an ideal advisor. Tom works with clients and communities to negotiate acquisitions and development agreements as well as secure financing and entitlements.

Steve Schwanke

As a Partner with Inland Development Partners, Steve provides land development, redevelopment and site selection for clients. With more than 40 years of experience, Steve adds particular value in advising on large-scale development and redevelopment opportunities and in assisting with commercial real estate and land decisions. In addition, he specializes in land planning, entitlements, zoning and master planning projects for commercial and mixed-use projects.

August Bruggeman

August supports IDP’s project underwriting of its real estate development opportunities and acquisitions, as well as leading the day-to-day communication with IDP investors. He specializes in financial underwriting, project management, asset management and sourcing of debt for IDP investments.

Shana Klesk, CPA

As CFO/COO, Shana is responsible for the firm’s finances, accounting, legal and compliance functions, human resources, and overall business operations. Shana brings more than 20 years of experience in finance as a Certified Public Accountant and Chief Financial Officer.

Tom Dillon, Owners Representative

As an Owner’s Representative, Dillon provides every aspect of an Owner/Developer’s interest on real estate projects. His extensive experience in project management covers a broad range of commercial, senior housing, and multifamily development.

Sophia Shaver, Staff Associate

As a Staff Associate, Shaver is responsible for investor relations, analyst work including investment summary documents, researching project sites, compiling zoning information, facilitating broker events, and assisting marketing efforts including managing IDP’s social media accounts.
