IDP congratulates Jean Giltner on her retirement and will miss her greatly!

Jean was the first employee at IDP, hired in 2016. In that time, Jean has worn many hats, working as office manager, HR director, accounting manager, tech support, event planner, marketing manager and anything else that came up that needed doing.

On any given day, Jean could be found supporting the IDP partners in a number of ways, including creating office operations, policies, and procedures, and establishing relationships with vendors and industry partners.

“Jean has really been the glue that holds the entire IDP Team together.  All of us are running in different directions doing different things and Jean is in the middle of it all making sense of everyone’s efforts and pulling everything together.  Jean is smart as a whip, compassionate, and kind and always very thoughtful.  She is also tough as nails and not afraid to do what is right. I have known Jean for many years and will sincerely miss her smiling face and pleasant manner.  Becky and I wish Jean and Pat the very best.”

  • Steve Schwanke, Partner

“Jean and I have been friends and colleagues for almost 20 years. Jean has been an integral part of our success at IDP and will be missed. Our friendship will certainly continue, and I can’t wait to hear about her new adventures in retirement.”

  • Kent Carlson, Partner

“It has been one of life’s pleasures to get to know Jean over the last 6+ years. She has been an instrumental team member in the growth of IDP since inception. There was no task to large or small that she was unwilling to tackle on behalf of the team. Her calm demeanor, in a hectic environment, allowed us to perform at our peak performance. As she moves on to the next chapter in her life, I wish her and her husband Pat the absolute best and know our paths will continue to cross as they are and will always be part of the IDP family.”

  • Tom Shaver, Partner

“I overlapped with Jean towards the end of her career, meaning I was lucky enough to benefit from all the wisdom she had acquired. I truly consider myself lucky to have worked with somebody so reliable and easygoing. Not for a moment did I hesitate to contact her with questions, as I knew she would always provide time and mentorship. She also had a decent sense of humor!”

  • August Bruggeman, Director of Development

Jean bids farewell and thanks all of her colleagues, clients, and friends for their support during her tenure at IDP.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the IDP team and the wide variety of activities I’ve been involved in,” Giltner says. “IDP’s culture of collaboration and the experience of its partners created an environment of constant learning. I am greatly appreciative of my opportunities and experience at IDP.”

Jean plans to “enjoy every minute” of retirement, and do more golfing, boating, traveling, and adopting a new puppy.

Congratulations, Jean!
